Historic Marsanne
Marsanne is a village in the southeastern French department of Drôme, close to the hills which rise up from the Valdaine plain. It lies to the north-east of Montélimar, gateway to Provence, world famous for its nougat, and is just 12 kilometres from the A7 autoroute's Montélimar-Nord exit.
Join us as we take a tour of this ancient village, mostly built between the 11th and 19th centuries, which is now home to around 1,000 residents. Much of the historical information is based on the writing of local historian
Marie-Louise Raymond, an official in Marsanne's local archives.
